Crockpot Smothered Pepper Steak

I found this over on Family Crock Pot Recipes

Crockpot Smothered Pepper Steak

Ingredients
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1-1/2 lbs beef chuck or round steak [we used beef chuck]
1 large onion, sliced
1 can tomatoes
1 green bell pepper, sliced [I used about 10 mini-bell peppers from our garden]
1 (4 oz) can mushrooms, drained
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 can French-style green beans, drained
* I also added 2 jalapeno peppers (cored) from our garden

Directions

Combine the flour, salt and pepper in a plastic bag [I didn't have a plastic bag large enough, so used a storage container instead). Cut the beef into strips; add to bag and shake to coat. Discard the flour mixture and place beef in crockpot. Add onion, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, soy sauce and beans. Cook on high for 1 hour; reduce to low and cook for 6 hours. Serve with rice or noodles. Serves 6.
*I cooked on high for 3-1/2 hours and low for 2 hours
*We served it on top of egg noodles

Verdict: On a scale from 1-10, it was a 8. Hubby loved it! Little Man (3-1/2 years) mostly liked the noodles, but ate some of the beef, too.

Next time I would...
try rice instead of noodles. The noodles were great, but we want to see how the rice would be with it.
